Why Diligent Learning?
In 2020, I founded Diligent Learning as an independent non-profit focused on mitigating opportunity gaps for children and youth.
​
Diligent Learning focuses on increasing opportunities for those children and youth who were not born on the third base.
​
Over the past three years, Diligent Learning has:

provided students and families with school supplies during school closures due to COVID-19
-
sponsored scholarships for promising under-resourced first-generation college attendees
-
partnered with school principals to develop and implement plans to address unfinished learning

engaged in relationships with district and school administrators to build stronger systems of support

performed evaluation for a variety of large-scale projects in school districts
-
facilitated strategic planning for mission-driven organizations

developed and delivered learning sessions on topics including literacy instruction, early warning systems, standards-based grading and reporting, equity-based MTSS, school climate and culture, developmental relationships, community partnerships, collaborative problem solving, and implementation science

partnered with like-minded organizations to make a difference in our shared community

Our team believes that paying it forward is a moral and ethical imperative. We are motivated by the successes of children and youth who have been underestimated or pushed to the margins at any point in their development.
